What a complete specification should define
A successful digital wallcovering project coordinates the substrate, printed graphic and installation system. These four areas should be addressed together.
Material system
Construction, backing, weight, width, texture, fire classification and supporting compliance documents.
Print production
Printer and ink technology, colour management, panel layout, bleed, seam method and required protective finish.
Wall preparation
Substrate condition, primer, adhesive, environmental conditions and coordination around doors, corners and services.
Quality control
Project mock-up, batch control, first-length inspection, installer guidance, cleaning and handover requirements.
Recommended project workflow
Early coordination between the architect, designer, printer and installer reduces avoidable production and installation risk.
Define the environment
Establish the project type, traffic level, wall condition, cleaning regime, fire and emissions requirements, moisture exposure and expected service life.

Do the published fire and washability values apply after printing?
The published documents distinguish substrate performance before printing from the completed printed system. Ink, protective finishes and other production variables can influence final performance. Confirm project requirements with the printer and relevant suppliers, and arrange testing when required.
Which print technologies are listed for Classic and Walltex?
The current technical datasheets list eco-solvent, Latex, UVgel and UV-curable printing. Printer configuration, media profile and production settings should still be tested with the selected texture.
Should a project mock-up be specified?
Yes, particularly for larger, high-profile or performance-sensitive projects. A realistic mock-up helps verify colour, scale, texture, seams, adhesive, wall preparation, cleaning expectations and overall appearance.
